School Transport

Yesterday the Public Transport Unit advised us that road C69C has been closed due to surface damage caused by the recent flooding and is to be resurfaced as a matter of priority.  The C69C is one of the designated roads for pupil transport as operated by Burns Coaches.  So with immediate effect the Winter Route is to be used on a daily basis until resurfacing work is completed.  All families affected have been notified of the change of route and alternative pick up points have been arranged.  I will continue to post a daily update on the Aberdeenshire Adverse Weather website to confirm operation of the Winter Route.  If we’re notified in advance of when the road is to be reopened we shall contact all affected families directly, but I’ll also still use the Aberdeenshire website to advise of when we get the normal route back in operation, just to be on the safe side.
