Our Vision Statement
Meldrum School aspires to be a vibrant and inclusive learning community where learners can realise their full potential within a safe and nurturing environment, promoting equality and fairness, with a focus on continuous improvement and developing the capacity of all to embrace lifelong learning.
Meldrum School is situated in the town of Oldmeldrum, six miles from Inverurie and seventeen miles from Aberdeen. The catchment area includes the village of Oldmeldrum and the surrounding rural area. We are part of the Meldrum Schools Cluster and our children transfer to Meldrum Academy for their secondary education.
At the time of writing, our school roll is 412 pupils in Primary and 63 pupils in Nursery. We currently have 16 Primary classes. Meldrum School provides Enhanced Provision support for children with additional support needs across the Meldrum Cluster.
We are very lucky to have large school grounds which include areas of hard playground, a sports field, wildlife area, climbing wall and timber play equipment.
The school enjoys the support of a very proactive Parent Council, Meldrum Parents in Partnership (MPiP). MPiP meetings are held regularly.
